Now most of the speakers who do TED talks have a lot of experience public speaking so finding someone who I could critique was not easy. But luckily I found Kitra Cahana and her talk a glimpse of life on the road. Right off the bat I noticed that Kitra was using a monotone voice which made me lose focus on what she was saying immediately. She did not really use this part of speaking to her advantage, and if I didn't need to post a bad video a would not have finished the video at all. She did not grab my attention but instead made me want to take a nap. This video made me realize how important the sound of your voice is while speaking, and during my shark tank proposal I am going to try to keep a lively voice while talking so no one wishes they could skip over me like I wished I could this video.

TED Talks
The first video I watched was Ziyah Gafic Everday objects, tragic histories. In the video Ziyah did a very good job speaking, he did not rush his sentences or use fillers such as like and umm. Even with him not having english as his first language he pronounced everything so I could easily understand him. He also did not move around too much or get caught standing completely still, he made simple hand gestures that were not distracting and was confident while speaking. I want to also be confident in my shark tank proposal and this video give me a perfect example. I believe going over the material to students in my dorm or my roommate will help me sound confident in front of the class, also knowing a lot about my product will help as well because I will not be worried about someone asking me a question I cannot answer.

Leaked Celebrity Photos
This article by Scott Mendelson is about how Jennifer Lawrence's leaked naked photos should not be entirly her fault. The central argument he makes in the article is that the media is placing the blame for the photos on the celeberties when the blame should be placed on the people posting them online. He even goes as far as calling the scandals sex crimes and should be handled in a manor that is the polar opposite of how we handle them now.
Personally I agree with what Mendelson is arguing in the article and society does have a very backwards outlook on these situations and how to respondent them. Also I do believe there should be some blame to the celebrities just not nearly as much heat as they have been getting. I have had very similar situations with girls in my high school having their pictures going around and I can't imagine how that feels. When I saw how embarrassed the girls were a few years ago it makes me think about Jennifer Lawrence's situation in a whole new light. She isn't a normal girl, she has millions of people watching her at all times and knowing most of these people have seen her naked must be a horrible feeling.
I believe society has a lot to learn about these situations, and I hope their learning curve is fast. Because the blame is not in the actresses but is held in the sick people posting these pictures for either money or their own amusement.

Hello my name is James and I am from Richmond Virginia. My album that described my twenty fourteen was Salad Days by Mac Demarco, this album really hit home with my friends and I this year when we would sarcastically look bacon the "good old days". I am in Kentucky because of the vibe I got here reminded me of home and I really felt like a belonged here even though I knew no one going in to the school year.
